Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) has featured among the world’s top thee airports for the seventh year in a row in Airports Council International’s (ACI’s) airport service quality (ASQ) ranking.

In its announcement of winners for the ASQ Award, 2015,ACI declared Hyderabad’s RGIA – operated and managed by GMR Hyderabad International Airport (GHIAL) – as the third best airport in the world in the 5-15 million passenger per annum category.

Speaking on the occasion , SGK Kishore, CEO of GHIAL, said, “We are absolutely delighted that Hyderabad airport has again featured among the world’s top 3 airports in ACI ASQ ranking in the category of 5-15 million passengers per annum.

It is a moment of great pride for us since we have had the rare honour of being ranked among the global top 3 airports from the very first year of operations and this year’s award marks the seventh year in a row that we have won this recognition.

We thank our passengers for keeping the faith in us by ranking us at this position.” He also stated that the award will enhance the visibility of Hyderabad city, furthering the brand-Hyderabad initiative of the Telangana government besides increasing its standing as a leading global destination for travel, tourism and investment.

ACI ASQ programme is the airport industry’s only global bench-marking programme measuring passenger satisfaction in real time while passengers are at the airport. ACI, which carnies out surveys at 300 airports around the world, ranks the airports on the basis of airport service quality surveys which represent passenger feed back on 34 key service indicators, according to the company.
